The President of the Republic warns that, if immigration were to disappear, it would be the "collapse" of the Portuguese economy. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa highlights the fundamental role of immigrants in various sectors, from construction, agriculture and tourism, among others.
However, he warns that we cannot go "three years without dealing with this issue", in reference to migration policy after the extinction of SEF.

On the sidelines of a visit to Ovibeja, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa stressed that the presentation of the measures must be done with care.

No entanto, alerta que não se pode ficar "três anos sem tratar desta matéria", em referência à política migratória após a extinção do SEF.

À margem de uma visita à Ovibeja, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, sublinhou que a apresentação das medidas deve ser feita com cuidado.
